The BBC is reporting that "Industrial production in India grew at its fastest annual rate in more than a decade in November, spurred by capital and consumer goods, figures show. India's industrial production, including output from factories and mines, rose 14.4% year-on-year"

Indian software giant Infosys is reporting a 52.4% risein quarterly profits and 47% increase in revenue, on the back of strong outsourcing orders from Western firms. JC Penny recently outsourced to InfoSys as did over 40 more companies this quarter.

"Looks like Boeing finished the year with an order for 10 Boeing 787-8s from Mumbai-based Jet Airways The order, placed in December 2006 is included in Boeing total orders of 1014 for 2006. The Boeing 787-8 order is valued at more than $1.5 billion at list prices and deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2011."
