Google and Microsoft coding competitions draw big interest#
When Google decided to hold a coding competition in India for the surrounding region it got a big response with 14,000 software developers taking part. The exercise was an excellent way for Google to identify some of the top coders in the region.

Microsoft is also holding a similar competition to identify software development talent and promote more secure coding practices amongst the estimated 650,000 software developers in India.
